Rudolf Bentzinger (born August 22, 1936 in Erfurt, Germany) is a German German philosopher and philologist, who is particularly concerned with the history of German. He taught at the University of Mainz and is an honorary professor. R. at the TU Berlin. He is also a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and the Technical University of Berlin and a full member of the academy of non-profit sciences at Erfurt since 2006.
