The Caraquet and Gulf Shore Railway was a railway company in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. It was created on 13 April 1911 by the merger of the Caraquet Railway and the Gulf Shore Railway. The stretch network consisted of an approximately 108-kilometer-long track, which branched off from the main route of the Intercolonial Railway in Gloucester Junction to Shippigan on the Gulf of St. Lawrence, and a 22-kilometer stretch parallel to the coast of Tracadie. The company was nationalized on 1 June 1920 and entered the Canadian National Railways. Today there is only the short section from Gloucester Junction to East Bathurst operated by the New Brunswick East Coast Railway. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
