The defender Rudolf Ceyka began his career at his home club SK Möllersdorf, to which he joined in eleven years in August 1952. From there he was committed by the Vienna in July 1960, where he became the regular in the A-League. Already his first season 1960/61 with the Döblingern was for Rudolf Ceyka from the sporting point of view the most successful. In the championship he won the second place with the club and the quarterfinals were reached in the Rappancup, where they finished with 3: 4 after extra time against Ajax Amsterdam.

Teamchef Eduard Frühwirth was eventually called into the Austrian national soccer team by Rudolf Ceyka.
