Holy Vogt

The Heiligenvogt, designated as a saintly inspector until August 1650, was a special form of the sacred guardian in the Wuerttemberg office of Balingen. While in other offices each place had its own sacred care, the churches of all 22 places of the Balinese office, with the exception of Balingen, were united in the Holy See. The total needs of the individual sites should be covered by this total assets and the financially weaker places should be supported by the financially stronger ones. The total assets were managed by the Heiligenvogt, which had its headquarters in Balingen. Isolated local priests were subordinate to the Holy See. The Holy Vogtei existed since the 16th century and was dissolved in 1827.

In the neighboring office of Rosenfeld and in the office of Tuttlingen, there was also a viceroy. Edit source text Single-level Edit source text
