Jason Hettenbaugh

Jason Hettenbaugh (born August 17, 1980) is an American biathlete.

Jason Hettenbaugh lives in Lima and starts for the club Western NY Biathlon. In 2006, he tried to qualify for the summer biathlon world championships, but failed with the seventh place in the sprint and six in the pursuit in the national championship and qualification races. In the winter he is not one of the outstanding biathletes of his country, but he can show some good results and was, for example, in the overall evaluation of the Biathlon NorAm Cup 2007/08 18. A second attempt to qualify for a summer World Cup started Hettenbaugh 2009. He also finished fifth in the sprint, four in the peloton, and six in the crowd, and qualified just ahead of Keith Woodward for the last free grid position in the races, which again included the US championships in the summer biathlon. In the cross-country competitions of the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof, the US took the places 44 in the sprint and 40 in the pursuit and was behind Sam Morse's second-best American.
