Robin Devenish

Robin C. E. Devenish (* 1943) is a British experimental physicist who deals with high energy physics of the strong interaction.

Devenish graduated from the University of Cambridge and from 1979 he was at the Hertford College, Oxford, where he is a Fellow, Dean, and Professor of Physics. He worked in experiments on the storage rings DORIS and PETRA at the DESY and thereafter on the HERA experiment of deep-elastic electron-proton scattering (ZEUS detector)

In 2009, he received the Max Born Award for "his key role in the determination of the structural function of the proton and the derivation of quark and gluon densities with a small partial impulse, which led to considerable advances in the understanding of quantum chromodynamics" Weblinks Edit sourcetext Single-level Edit source text Standard data (person): GND: 1013433815 (PICA, AKS) | LCCN: nb2003107768 | VIAF: 54969026 | Wikipedia People Search
