Hovden is the name of a village with 416 inhabitants (2011) in the Norwegian municipality Bykle in Fylke Aust-Agder. The village is located in the upper Setesdal, at the mouth of the river Otra in the lake Hartevatnet. Through the village, you will find Reichsstraße Nr. 9 (Riksvei 9).

The place is the center of a large alpine and nordic ski area. with about 150 kilometers of cross-country ski runs, the area is the largest ski resort in southern Norway, and Hovden Aqualand & Spa is the water temperature at constant 30 degrees.
