Grabowski was born as the son of an ice-turner. After finishing school, he joined Ferrum AG, a subsidiary of the Upper Silesian metallurgical works, in 1912. In 1931 he moved to the executive committee of the company, to which he belonged until his expulsion in 1945.

He came to Wetzlar, where he took over the commercial management of the Buderus iron works. From 1953 to 1967 he was Director-General and CEO of the company.

Grabowski was an honorary member of the Catholic student association KDStV Winfridia (Breslau) Münster since 1958. Honors Edit the source text Edit source text
