The Murri are an Australian aboriginal people from the present state of Queensland. The term is sometimes mistakenly associated with peoples from other parts of Australia. The Murri comprise a group of tribes and family groups spread throughout the region (such as the Yugarabul, the Jagera, the villages of Coorparoo, and the Kwiambal people further south). Aboriginal communities in other regions of Australia include koori, anangu, noongar and nunga, among others.

Many murri were forcibly displaced from their lands and relocated to missions alongside tribes with whom they may not have had friendly relations. Between 1900 and 1972, a large number of Murri children were part of the stolen generations.

The situation of the Murri people has improved over the years, in 1967 they received the right to vote, along with free access to Musgrave Park; today they are the owners and operators of murri radio, and courts for murri were established in 2002.
