Juan de Lienas (fl.ca. 1640), is a musical composer, probably Mexican, whose compositions - several polyphonic masses and motets in the old style of Guerrero - are in the Codex of the Convent of the Carmen, in the old School of the Convent in San Angel, Mexico City. He has been "tentatively identified" with Juan Hernández, a chapel master of the Cathedral of Mexico City until 1620. If this is the case, then it is a rare situation between the cathedral chapel master of the time since he is of Mexican Indian origin and married.

A source that identifies him as a Cuban composer and chapel master in the Havana Cathedral should not be taken into account. Select Discography
