The main person is the boy Amalendu. His family owns elephants and one of the elephant cows gets a cub. Amalendus father decides to give him the little elephant. After a long thought for the name of the elephant, he goes to the river, where the elephants bathe. He squats at a tree and sees that an old man is watching him. The man approaches him and asks why he looks so oppressed. Amalendu replies that there is no name for his elephant. The old man says he once had an elephant named Narayan. This name appeals to Amalendu so much that he also calls his elephant. Amalendu and Narayan experience many exciting adventures. Edit outputtext Single-level Edit source text
