Misleydis González


Misleydis González (Misleydis González Herrera, 19 June 1978 in Bayamo) is a Cuban shotgun.

She had her first international success at the Central American and Caribbean Championships, where she won in 2001 and 2003.

In 2004, she finished sixth at the World Championships in Budapest in 2004, won silver at the Ibero-American Championships and finished seventh place at the Olympic Games in Athens.

In 2005, she won tenth place at the World Championships in Helsinki and won bronze at the Universiade. A gold medal at the 2007 Pan American Games was followed by an eleventh place at the 2007 World Cup in Osaka.

With her personal indoor performance of 18.75 m, she became fourth in the indoor world championships. At the Olympic Games in Beijing she also came in fourth place with her personal outdoor record of 19.50 m. Because of doping with two participants in front of her, she is now lead (2017) as silver medal winner.

Misleydis González is 1,79 m tall and weighs 75 kg, so he is one of the "lightweights" in his discipline. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
