Truman, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Winston Churchill and the President of the Republic of China Chiang Kai-shek, which dealt with the terms of the surrender of the Empire of Japan in World War II, as agreed at the Potsdam Conference. The statement stipulated that if Japan did not surrender, it would face "prompt and total destruction."
