Practicable

A playable is a three-dimensional element of scenery that is part of a theatrical scenery. They are basic structures like ramps, platforms (platforms), stairs or gradines (stairs of two or three steps). Small removable scenarios are also practicable.

They are solid pieces that can support the weight of one or several actors, and serve to achieve different heights on stage. The practicable ones are built on a lightweight structure but resistant, made of slats of wood or of aluminum profiles. To integrate them into the set, the villagers set them up by giving them the required finish: paint, varnish or coatings of all kinds of materials (cork, plastic, wood, metal, fabrics, etc.). They can be combined and there are all shapes. They can be fixed or mobile - moving on wheels or rails -, rotatable or height adjustable. Source used
