Member magazine

Members' journals are sent to members of an association or association. They are intended for information and internal public relations work. In terms of content and appearance, they are designed to suit the interest and taste of the target group. In the editorial section there are sector-specific and internal topics.

Most member magazines are similar to public magazines. They are counted by the information society to determine the distribution of advertising media (IVW) to the public magazines and are regarded as members' pieces. They therefore belong to the subscribed edition. A membership magazine is not always free of charge, a separate amount can be charged or the price can be included in the membership fee.

It is difficult to distinguish between a customer magazine and a member magazine. Both are part of corporate publishing and address their main trading groups, H. Customers or members. In member magazines, sometimes seminars or additional fees are charged. The same applies to health insurance funds, book clubs, building societies and banks. The magazine of the German Automobile Association, the ADAC Motorwelt, has 13.8 million copies the highest edition of a magazine in Germany.
