Jeranuhi Karakashian

Jeranuhi Karakashian (armenian Երանուհի Գարագաշեան; * 1848 in Üsküdar; † 16 March 1924 in Tbilisi) was an Armenian actress. She was the older sister of Verkine Karakaschian.

For the first time Jeranuhi Karakashian appeared in the Şark theater in the 1864-65 season, then in the Gedik Paşa Theater (later known as the Ottoman Theater) by Agop Güllü, sometimes also at the Aziziye Theater in Üsküdar. From 1868 to 1878 she took female main roles in the Gedik Paşa theater. She participated in tours of the Benliyan operetta troupe to Edirne, Egypt (1885 and 1888) and the Caucasus (1880).
