Jamaica University of Technology

The University of Technology is a public university in the Caribbean country of Jamaica. The current president of the university is Professor Errol Morrison.

The University of Technology Jamaica (UTech) has its beginnings in 1958, originally known as the Jamaica Institute of Technology. In 1959 the name of the institution was changed to the Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology.

The institution was granted university status on September 1, 1995, as the University of Technology of Jamaica.
