Brian Patneaude

Brian Patneaude played during the highschool drums in a rock band; to the jazz he came through the music of David Sanborn and Michael Brecker. At the College of St. Rose, he completed his first degree in Music Education in 1996. He then starred with Alex Torres y Los Reyes Latinos, The Refrigerators, Terry Gordon, George Muscatello; He also completed his Master's degree at the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Already during his time at college, he was on a tour of Russia and was presented in the Downbeat. In 2003, he presented the debut album Variations with his quartet, followed by four more albums by 2012. In his band, bassist Mike DelPrete, drummer Danny Whelchel and pianist David Caldwell-Mason play. He also plays with the Empire Jazz Orchestra, the Big Soul Ensemble and the hard-bop-band Bopitude by Michael Benedict. He performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival and other international festivals.
