The Brass Ring

The Brass Ring (or Bronze Rings, as they were known in Spanish-speaking countries) was an American group of studio musicians led by saxophonist and arranger Phil Bodner.

Based in New York City, her style was similar to that of Herb Alpert and other instrumental groups of the "Now Sound" of the 1960s. They had several LPs and 2 successful singles. The first, The Phoenix Love Theme ("No End"), was heard in the movie The Flight of the Phoenix, and was in position # 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1966. The second, The Dis -Advantages of You ("Your Disadvantages"), was used for the Benson & amp; Hedges on TV, and reached # 36 in 1967.

Several singles, including "Love In The Open Air", is valued by collectors as it is a cover of Paul McCartney's authorship.

The group was dissolved in 1972. Discography
