Polcura (Christmas)

Polcura (word from the mapudungun meaning yellow stone), is a small town, located in the commune of Christmas, Cardenal Caro Province, VI Region of the Liberator General Bernardo O'Higgins, Chile.

It is located between the towns of Tumán, Pupuya and the beach of Puertecillo.

It has a basic school, church and beautiful parajes, where are humble houses of farmers.

It is an alternative to access to the beach of Puertecillo, but it is not possible to accede by means of 4WD vehicles.

The Polcura - Puertecillo road is 8 km long, and at the end of it begins the Cuesta Polcura, only for foot traffic, horse or motorcycle, because it is not suitable for vehicular traffic due to the angst that it is. This alternative comes to the northern sector of Puertecillo.
