Potomac is a community in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA.

In the 2000 census, its population is 46,255, but it drops to 44,965 in 2010. According to the Forbes economic magazine, this wealthy suburb belongs to the group of twenty small towns where the level of education is highest in America.
