Moral imperative


It is called a moral imperative in the field of philosophy to that obligation that a person imposes itself on ethical issues. An imperative always takes the form "obligation to do something" and is a concept used in the field of ethics and moral philosophy. In this sense an imperative is a form of prescriptive statement, which establishes the need to perform a certain action.

According to Kant's philosophical thought, the categorical imperative is that autonomous and self-sufficient command that regulates the behavior of people in their various manifestations.
