Helmut Solbach

Helmut Solbach visited the Oberrealschule, which he completed with the Abitur. He studied economics at the University of Cologne and graduated in 1931 as a graduate economist. In 1951 the doctorate was awarded to Dr. rer. pole. He worked as a journalist, social adviser and administrative director in a hospital (Frau Eduard Dörrenberg hospital) in Engelskirchen-Ründeroth. Afterwards, he worked for several years as a lecturer in politics at the Fachhochschule Gummersbach, where he was later given the title of university professor. Edit policytext
Helmut Solbach was a member of the district board of the SPD from 1947 onwards. From 1952 he became a member of the Oberbergischer Kreistag, from 1960 until 1962 he was deputy district councilor in the Oberbergische Kreis. He served as a member of the city council of Gummersbach from 1960 to 1961. He was a member of the District and Land Deportation Advisory Board and from 1961 a member of the Landschaftsversammlung Rheinland.
Helmut Solbach was directly elected member of the 5th and 6th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia from 23 July 1962 to 25 July 1970 for the constituency 024 Oberbergischer Kreis-Nord and for the constituency 026 Oberbergischer Kreis. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
