Fiacha [fʲiːəxə], also Fiachu, Fiachra or Fiachna, with the surname mac Delbaíth is the name of a legendary figure from the Lebor Gabála Érenn of the Celtic mythology of Ireland. Edit mythology source text
According to Lebor Gabála Érenn, Fiacha is the son of Delbaeth of the Túatha Dé Danann and Ernmas'. Delbaeth was High King of Ireland after his mythical grandfather, the Dagda under the royal name Eochaid Ollathair ("The Great Father"). Fiacha murdered his father after the Annála Ríoghdhachta Éireann ("The Annals of the Four Masters") and became a high kingship. In another version, Delbaeth is said to have been killed by a son of Nekhtah. After ten years of rule, Fiacha falls into battle.
Fiacha's sisters are Ériu, Banba and Fohla, but he is also called as their father - by incest with Ernmas. His successors as high kings are his three brothers-in-law, the brothers Mac Gréine ("son of the sun", Eriu), Mac Cuill ("son of the hazel", with Banba) and Mac Cecht ("son of the ploughshare", with Fohla) .
