Brussels Griffon

The Brussels Griffon is a breed of miniature dog that takes its name from its home town, Brussels, Belgium.

The name Griffon of Brussels refers in fact to three different races: the Brussels Griffon, the Belgian Griffon and the Little Brabantine. Sometimes considered varieties of the same breed, their only differences are in fur and color.

The three races are generally composed of small animals with flat faces, prominent chin, and large eyes. The standard weight differs between them but the ideal is from 3.63 kg to 4.54 kg for both sexes. They have a rounded head that is large in proportion to the body. The nose is wide, with wide holes, black, and located almost at the same height as the eyes.
