Ángel Gutiérrez Fanlo


Ángel Gutiérrez Fanlo (Quinzano, Huesca, 1936 - Pamplona, ​​1995) is a contemporary Aragonese painter.

Biography

He studied high school and teaching in Huesca, and was briefly a national teacher in Zaragoza. Between 1957 and 1962 he made his artistic studies of painting and engraving in Madrid at the Higher School of Fine Arts of San Fernando, as well as other free ones in the classes of the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, obtaining the title of Professor of Drawing in 1962 He has studied artistic studies, among them the Restoration of Paintings, in the Superior School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and also in the Royal Artistic Circle and Sant Lluc Circle in Barcelona. He taught drawing in state centers in Madrid and Barcelona, ​​and was Professor of Drawing of Higher Education in opposition from July 1965, occupying the position in Ponferrada, Leon, and since 1969 in Pamplona.

There is a work of his in the Museum of the High Aragon of Contemporary Art (Huesca) and in the artistic background of the Logroño Museum. Since the early 1980s, he has organized cultural gatherings and travels in Navarre with his colleagues in the field of education or prestigious independent painters, among which are Josefina Álvarez (his wife), Ascuence, Lasterra, Borobio, own Gutiérrez, Ciriza, Orlla or Iturgaiz. This series of collaborations culminated in the founding in 1994 of the Association of artists of Navarra, GARDENA, of which it was the first president. In addition to the aforementioned artists, such as Martín Caro, Eslava, Alfredo Sada, Laita and Araujo, among others, are involved.
