Political Theology


Political theology forms a part of political philosophy and theology that investigates the ways in which theological concepts or ways of thinking are related to politics, society and economics. Although the relationship between Christianity and politics has been the subject of debate since the time of Jesus, political theology as an academic discipline began during the latter part of the twentieth century, partly in response to the work of both Carl Schmitt and The Political Theology now examines this interface of religious and political faith.
