Matix

Matix Clothing is a skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding company founded by professional skateboarders, former members of the DVS Shoe team, Daewon Song and Tim Gavin (owner of DVS) in 1998. The company is headquartered in Torrance, California. The management of the company is managed directly by team members Matix Marc Johnson, Daewon Song, Rick McCrank, and Mikey Taylor.

Following the success of DVS Shoe, its owner, Gavin, joined the South Korean Daewon Song in the creation of Matix. DVS paved the way for the skateboarding market, but Matix was born as a skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding company based on the manufacture of urban streetwear and the patronage of skaters, snowboarders and surfers.
