Gerhard Happiness


Gerhard Glück (* July 1944 in Bad Vilbel) is a German cartoonist.

Happiness grew up in Frankfurt am Main and studied graphic design and art education in Kassel. From 1972 first cartoons in the Hessian general, cover pictures and illustrations for the magazine of the Süddeutschen Zeitung, the manager magazin u.a. Since 1991, his cartoons appear monthly in NZZ-Folio, the magazine of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and since 1994 in the satire magazine Eulenspiegel. On occasion, his illustrations are also discovered in the weekly newspaper Die Zeit and in the magazine Cicero. His cartoon books are published by Lappan Verlag, which also publishes his picture books and the illustrated illustrated books of the poems by Heinz Erhardt, Joachim Ringelnatz and Christian Morgenstern. He also illustrates book cover and texts for dtv and other publishers.
