Dave Salmoni

Dave Salmoni (born September 4, 1975 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian zoologist and animal trainer.

He graduated in Biology at Laurentian University (Laurentina University) in Toronto and was apprenticed to training animals at Bowman Park Zoo. Salmoni left Canada in 2000, and went to South Africa to help captive wild animals rehabilitate them to survive in their wild environment.

He has made several television documentaries, including Living with Tigers, describing the progress he and John Varty have made within the African Tiger Project project for the conservation of the Tiger; and Into The Lion's Den (2005) for Animal Planet (Discovery Networks).
