Seal of the Northern Mariana Islands

The seal of the Northern Mariana Islands was adopted in 1976. It contains the same elements that make up the flag: a five-pointed white star on a blue background and circular shape. Behind the star is represented a Taga which is a Polynesian symbol of fortitude. The star and the taga are surrounded by a floral garland, symbol of the history and customs of the population of the islands.

On the outside of the Seal of the Northern Mariana Islands are written the legends: "Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands" and "Official Seal" .

In some cases, the seal of the Northern Mariana Islands also includes the name of the country to which "United States" belongs and the year in which this seal was adopted.
