President of Equatorial Guinea

The president of Equatorial Guinea is the head of state of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, nominally elected every 7 years, and the post of head of government appointed by the President of the Republic. The country, since independence, has had only two rulers: Francisco MacĂas Nguema and his nephew Teodoro Obiang Nguema, who overthrew him by a coup in 1979; has since remained in power.

The opposition parties denounce that the elections are fraudulent, and consider it a dictator. Heads of State of Equatorial Guinea
