Páll Jóhann Pálsson


Páll Jóhann Pálsson (* 25 November 1957 in Keflavík) is an Icelandic politician (progress party).

Páll Jóhann worked as a machinist, captain and boatman, since 2003 as captain and ship owner. Since 2010 he belonged to the municipal government of Grindavík.

Since the Icelandic parliamentary elections of 27 April 2013, Páll Jóhann has been a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the Southern constituency. He was a member of the Parliamentary Budget Committee (since 2015) and of the Committee on Commercial Affairs (since 2013), and belonged to the Icelandic delegation to the Westnordian Council. From 2013 to 2015, he was a member of the Committee on Welfare, and in 2013 the Committee on Economic Affairs and Trade.

Páll Jóhann Pálsson had announced that he would not stand for the 2016 elections in Iceland. On the list of the Progressive Party for the Southern Electoral District, he was last. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Single-level Edit source text
