Vicente Talens


Vicente Talens Inglá (Llauri) Valencia, 1892 - id. 1940), was a Spanish model and politician, who during Civil War was Civil Governor of Almeria.

Before the proclamation of the Second Republic, he had to live in exile in Paris, where he worked as a model of nudes for the painters of the city. In 1931 he returned to Spain, then member of the Communist Party of France. During Civil War, was appointed Civil Governor of the province of Almería in a brief period of time between 1937 and 1938. He was dismissed and moved to Valencia, being considered weak by his colleagues of the Popular Front that valued like very lukewarm his resolutions in front of the fifth columnists of Almeria. In Valencia was without destiny, until it was imprisoned of the pro-Franco troops in 1939, imprisoned in Model prison, tried in a summary process of urgency and condemned to death, being executed a year later, although in his judicial file were testimonies of favor of members of the political right of Almeria.
