Rio Saímes
The Saímes River is a river in the province of La Coruña, Galicia, Spain.
The River Saímes was born in the parish of Branzá, municipality of Arzúa. The first part of its route is made by the lands of the places of Remesil and Trasbar, in Dombodán. Arrived at its intersection with the creek of Ufa that separates Turces in the municipality of Touro of Branzá in Arzúa, reason why to happen to act like limit between both municipalities.
It flows into the Ulla River at the height of the Pena da Vella. This mouth will soon cease to exist because of the new dam that Unión Fenosa is building 1 km downstream. It is not very abundant in the summer, but in winter it takes a lot of water, reaching to overflow in the meadows of Saímes where it takes its name.
It has a part of its route of great beauty, that goes parallel to the mount two Muiños, where it forms a waterfall of 32 m of fall, called Fervenza das Hortas.
