Senam

Senam is the name of a long, low hill in the province of M'sila, south-west of Algiers in Algeria. The hill is covered with a large number of stone circles.

These stone circles are constructed of natural limestone, with slabs two to three feet high. The diameter of the circles varies from about 23 feet (± 7 meters) to 34 feet (± 10 meters). The entrance is on the southeast side by a rectangular hole in the wall. It is not clear if the niche was once roofed. The center of the circle is filled with stones for unknown purposes, possibly used as a tomb.
