Julio Palacios, Venezuelan pastor and theologian (Caracas, October 8, 1961)

He made his first theological studies in Venezuela (Central Biblical Institute), Puerto Rico and Costa Rica (CENETA-VEN / SENDAS, Seminar Nazareno de Las Americas). He worked as a pastor in his native Venezuela, being a member of several non-governmental organizations and the Venezuelan ecumenical movement in the mid-80's (CRISEV, Lutheran Coordinator of Venezuela, Acción Ecumenica). In 1988 he was appointed Coordinator of Communications of the Venezuelan Committee for Justice (CEVEJ), an important body defending the DD.HH where he combined the pastoral and theological service with the social struggle of important peasant sectors and movements in claiming housing for so-called " Sintechos ".

He has published hundreds of articles on the subject of oppression, education and liberation theology. He has written several essays on the subject of anthropological hermeneutics (Anthropologischen Hermeneutik), and two books sponsored by the Faculty of Protestant Theology Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, Germany, where he obtained a Master's Degree in Biblical Sciences (Magister Artium): "Neue Rev. Palacios also holds a Bachelor's degree in Educational Psychology (UCM) and a Ph.D. in Political and Social Sciences (Univ. de San Paulo), and has been professor of theology, sociology and political science at various universities and seminars in Venezuela and the United States. Under the tutelage of his Isedet professor, Jose Severino Croatto (ᵻ) specialized in Semitic languages ​​(Hebrew, Aramaic, Ugaritic, Acadian). Palacios lives with his family in Southwest Florida, USA.
