Fire protection strip made of mineral wool against fire spread in a PS thermal insulation

Strips of non-combustible mineral wool, which are intended to make the spreading of fires within the façade more difficult in a thermal insulation composite façade, are called fire protection strips or fire bricks. Edit detail source text

The propagation of a fire can be carried out on the one hand by short sections made of mineral wool over the window lintels or as a complete fire barrier around a floor. The first solution is to make it possible to prevent the fire from being burnt out of an apartment through flames flitting from windows into the façade, the latter spreading a fire in the facade over the entire façade - and thus into other apartments.

Fireblocks are not suitable for suspended and ventilated facade cladding. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
