Barra Head

Barra Head is an island belonging to Scotland, located in the archipelago of the Outer Hebrides. It is the southernmost island of this archipelago. The island houses a lighthouse built by Robert Stevenson, operating since 1833. Since 1931, the island was inhabited only by lighthouse operators and their wives. The lighthouse is now automated, and the island is completely uninhabited.

The highest point on the island is the Sotan.

Head Barra is known to house a large colony of sea birds.
