Hōjō Ujimasa


Hōjō Ujimasa. This is a Japanese name; the surname is {{{1}}}. Hōjō Ujimasa (北 条 氏 政, Hōjō Ujimasa 1538 - 10 August 1590) was the fourth leader of the Hōjō clan and daimyō of Odawara. He was present in many battles and finally retired in 1590. His son, Hōjō Ujinao, became the leader of the clan and lord of Odawara but later in that same year he failed to defend the castle from the forces of Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the siege of Odawara. Ujimasa was forced to commit seppuku.
