Cool moza


Fresh Moza is a strain of white grape (Vitis vinifera) from Spain. Other names with which this variety is known are: Doña Blanca, Valenciana, Malvasia del Bierzo, Cigüente, Blanco del País, Blanca Extra, and Dona Branca. Some people consider it a variety of merseguera adapted to Galicia.

It is a vine of medium or late budding. It is a plant susceptible to cryptogamic diseases. It has large and compact clusters; the berries are large in size, round in shape and yellowish-green in color. It can be used to make varietal wine or to mix with others.

According to Order APA / 1819/2007, of June 13 (BOE of the 21st), the cigüente variety is recommended in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura; Fresh duck (also, dona blanca) is recommended in Galicia and Dona Blanca is an authorized variety in Castilla y León. It is adapted to the sandy and poor soils of the Castuera area, within the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Guadiana. Notes
