Ancestor

Ancestor is the direct ancestor by kinship; either the immediate parent (father or mother), or recursively, the parent of each parent (grandparents, great grandparents, great-grandparents, and so on). The term is also often used to refer to a group of ancestors related to a direct ancestor from which an individual or social group (family, clan, tribe, ethnicity, people, etc.) descends or descends. Ancestor in biology

In biology, two individuals have a genetic relationship if one is the ancestor of the other or if they share a common ancestor; in biological evolution, species that share an evolutionary ancestor are said to be of common descent. However, this concept of common ancestor in phylogeny is not completely clarified for some bacteria and other organisms capable of horizontal gene transfer. Cultural ancestor

Sociologically, anthropologically and historiographically, almost all cultures and societies, in a pre-industrial context, profess great respect, reverence or veneration for the ancestors, both living (elderly) and dead, providence is even sought in deceased ancestors (a practice known as veneration or worship of the ancestors); in contrast, industrial society and post-industrial society, in cultural contexts more oriented to youth, show a lesser degree of veneration for the elderly.
