Marquis of Monsalud


The Marquis of Monsalud is a Spanish noble title, granted by King Charles III in 1761.

Until 1886 the Marquis of Monsalud resided in the Palace of Monsalud de Almendralejo, built in 1752 and located in the center of the town, which is now the seat of the city council. They also used as a residence in Seville the Palace of the Domont or of Villa Marín, also known as Palace of Monsalud, located in the street Cardenal Cisneros, in front of the parish of San Vicente.

The first marquess was the Ecijan Juan Nieto Domonte and Golfín, who received the title in 1762 by Royal Decree.
