Gerhard Steidele


Gerhard Steidele (born April 6, 1943 in Munich) is a German Judoka. He is one of the most highly regarded Bavarian judo athletes and carries the 8th Dan. Sportkarriere Edit the source text

In the 1960s and 1970s, Gerhard Steidele was a German lightweight champion. He started for the TSV München Großhadern and was with this club several times German Judo-Teammeister.

Today, Gerhard Steidele is a graduate trainer with several clubs. He was also a long-time lecturer of the Bavarian Judo Association. He specializes in judo training with older people.

Gerhard Steidele is still a very successful competition judoka with more than 60 years. He starts for SCU Germering in the judo district league of the district Ib Oberbayern. In doing so, Steidele sets himself up against 40 years of younger opponents with his ability and experience. Its special lice technique is the internal thigh (Uchi-mata).

In 2004, 2005 and 2006 Gerhard Steidele became sovereign Judo-World Champion in the age class "60 to 64 years". In 2005, he also won the first German Judo Senior Championship (ODEM) in Berlin. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
