The Gulf of Lhûn is a fictional place of the legendary writer J. R. R. Tolkien. It is a gulf located between the Ered Luin, and in which flows the Lhûn River, hence its name. He divided the Lindon region into two parts: Forlindon (north) and Harlindon (south).

It was formed after the War of Anger, which was so brutal, that made Middle-earth tremble and most of Beleriand was sunk in the waters of the Belegaer. In Ossiriand, the Ered Luin broke, and the earth fractured, forming a great cleft into the sea through which the water entered, forming the Gulf of Lhûn. The surrounding lands were the only ones in Beleriand that remained safe from the waters and were known as Lindon.

In the gulf were the Elvish ports of Harlond, Forlond and Mithlond. Bibliography
