Tash-kʾirman Tepe

Tash-k'irman Tepe is a ruin hill in today's Uzbekistan in the Tash-k'irman oasis. The ruins are located northeast of the modern city of Beruniy. Here a karakalpak-australian archaeologist team excavated a choir-like temple between 1996 and 2000, which from the 4th century BC, Was in operation until the 3rd century AD. The temple stood isolated in the landscape. No settlements could be observed nearby. There were two different stages.

In the second stage, the temple stood on a platform about 100 meters long and 30 to 50 meters wide. The actual temple on the platform consisted of a series of rooms and corridors. In the center of the complex was a room with an altar for fire. Probably the whole area is a fire temple. The temple was probably abandoned with the arrival of the Kuschana in Choresmien. There are no signs of violence. Accordingly, the facility was almost fundleer, because all objects were taken away when leaving the facility. Edit source text
