Complutum

Excavations in the former Complutum

Complutum (today Alcalá de Henares in the Spanish Autonomous Community of Madrid) was a Celtiberian city. The inhabitants were Carpetani.

It was not until the Christian age that the place became important and became a bishop's town from the 5th century to 1099. The reformation of the diocese was made in 1991. Edit source text Weblinks Edit sourcetext Commons: Complutum - Collection of pictures, videos and audio files
