The municipality of Lohja (Finnish Lohjan kunta, Swedish Lojo kommun), to Lohja municipality (Finnish Lohjan maalaiskunta, Swedish Lojo landskommun), is a former municipality in Finland. It included the surrounding of Lohja in the southern Finnish landscape of Uusimaa.

The rural community of Lohja was founded in 1926, when the main town of Lohja was solved as an independent market spot (kauppala) from the surrounding rural community. The rural community had an area of ​​262 km² and finally 18.783 inhabitants (1992). In 1987, 7% of the population was Finland. At the beginning of the year 1997, the rural community was incorporated into Lohja, which had now received municipal rights.
