Brevier von Dabar

Breviary of Dabar is a 14th-century prayer book, written in Glagolitic-Croatian handwriting. With the permission of Pope Innocent IV, from 1248 the churches in the north-west of Croatia could be the only one within the Latin church instead of the Latin to use the already established church slavic with Glagolitic script as a liturgy language. This permission was formally given to Bishop Philipp of Senj.

The Breviary of Dabar was found in the Francofan fortress Dabar near Otočac in the region of Lika (Croatia). It consists of 306 pages of parchment paper and was composed by "pop Stipan" (pastor Stefan). This work belongs to Glagoljica (more precisely Bašćanska ploča), the Baška panel is one of the most important mediaeval Glagolitic prayer books.

In addition to the usual measurement requests, there are also various entries, such as the Ottoman soldiers' overheads or the names of debtors of that time abstract

List of debtors, established by Rev. Stefan in 1515: Škarići, Jarići, Silaševići, Starkići, Vučetići, Volčevići, Trhožići, Stričići, Berojići, Brajenkovići, Šimajevići i Križići
