The landscape protection area Rodungsinsel Föckinghausen with 6.53 hectares is located north and south-east around Föckinghausen in the municipality of Bestwig in the Hochsauerlandkreis. The area was designated as a landscape conservation area (LSG) in 2008 with the Landschaftsplan Bestwig by the district council of the Hochsauerlandkreis. The LSG is one of 17 landscape conservation areas in the municipality of Bestwig. In the municipality there is a landscape protection area type A, ten landscape protection areas type B and six landscape protection areas type C. The landscape protection area Rodungsinsel Föckinghausen was designated as landscape protection area of the type B, local outskirts, landscape character in the municipality area of Bestwig. The LSG consists of two partial surfaces. The LSG borders directly on the edge of the settlement. LSG is exclusively grassland.
